Powered by a battery, the crystal oscillator vibrates 32,768 times per second, and the 9F quartz movement uses that energy to keep time. Equipped with a quartz movement, it has the slimmest shape among Grand Seiko's diver's watches. Arabic numerals are also placed inside the dial ring to improve the readability of the time, and a more modern typeface is used for the numbers on the bezel, making it a design that fits in any situation.
